CAMERON
A Texas historical note:A captain in the Texas Republic, Liam Cameron, was captured
along with many of his men during the war with Mexico. They were taken to Mexico City and there
took part in the infamous "black bean draw." Cameron actually drew a white bean but Santa Ana killed
him anyway. Cameron County is named after this Texas hero and Scottish-American.
